Why I eat Broccoli for my Fatty Liver

If you’re not already eating it – Broccoli is one of the best additions to your meal to help treat your Fatty Liver.

This dark green and highly nutritious vegetable is one of the healthiest items you can add to your dinner plate.

A scientific study completed by Researchers at the University of Illinois showed that by eating Broccoli on a consistent and longer term basis, mice with Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD in this case) and which were pre-disposed to Liver Cancer resulted in:

  • reduced accumulation of fat in the liver and the reduced development of Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD); and,
  • reduced incidence of Liver tumors and cancerous liver nodules.

The study also showed that those mice fed a typical Western Diet (high sugar, high fat) without Broccoli led to an increased rate of Fatty Liver development and increased development of cancerous liver nodules. 

This study shows you that Broccoli appears to be very helpful in the fight against Fatty Liver Disease and will help rejuvenate your liver health.
